Set Your Screen Resolution (Windows)

Supported version of TurboTax requires a minimum screen resolution of 1024x768 to display text and images properly. 

To set your Windows screen resolution, follow the steps below for your particular operating system.

Windows 7

  1. Click the Start button, then choose Control Panel.
  2. Under Appearance and Personalization, click Adjust screen resolution.
  3. In the drop-down list next to Resolution, move the slider to the desired resolution, and then click Apply.
  4. Click Keep to use the new resolution or Revert to return to the previous resolution.

Windows Vista

  1. Click the Start button, then choose Control Panel.
  2. Click Appearance and Personalization > Personalization > Display Settings.
  3. Under Resolution, move the slider to the desired resolution, and then click Apply.

Windows XP/2000/Me/98

  1. Right-click an empty area on your desktop and choose Properties.
  2. In the "Display Properties" window, click the Settings tab.
  3. In the Screen resolution area, set the resolution by dragging the slider.
  4. In the Color Quality area, select at least 16 bit (32 bit recommended).
  5. Click OK to apply your settings and close the Display Properties window.
  6. Click OK to any message asking if you want to keep those settings.
