Where to Enter Information from Forms CSA and CSF 1099-R in TurboTax

Form CSA-1099-R Statement of Annuity Paid is issued to federal civil service retirees so they can report the amount of annuity paid during the year.

Form CSF-1099-R Statement of Survivor Annuity Paid is issued to survivors of federal civil service employees for tax reporting.

Here's how to get to the 1099-R screens in the TurboTax Online:

1. Select the Tools button in the upper right-hand portion of the screen.
2. Select Topic Search. 
3. When the window opens, type "csa-1099" into the box, select the item that best describes the csa-1099 that you received, and then select GO. 
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter the information from your csa-1099.

Here's how to get to the 1099-R screens in the TurboTax desktop or CD/download version:

1. Enter your cursor into the search box in the upper right-hand portion of the screen. 
2. Type "csa-1099" into the box, click on the item that best describes the CSA-1099 that you received. 
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter the information from your CSA-1099.
