When entering a 1099-MISC for Royalties, TurboTax asks:

The highlighted items on this screen should say Royalty, consequently users are

Selecting "No," when they should be selecting "Yes."

If you select Yes, you will be able to correctly enter withholding for your 1099-MISC.

Solution:

This issue has been resolved in a TurboTax update that was released on 4/26/2012.
