Resolved: Error - Schedule C-EZ: Line 1-Gross Receipts Lines 1,2 or 3 must be Greater than zero when Efiling

There was an issue with TurboTax in which users were receiving the following error in Wrap Up. Schedule C-EZ: Line 1-Gross Receipts Lines 1,2 or 3 must be Greater that zero for Electronic.

This error was caused from a blank Schedule C being incorrectly included in the return with either a zero entered for the amount of income and no expenses entered OR no income was entered and a zero was appearing for an expense.

The incorrect schedule C could have been included in the return in either of the following ways:

• If a 2010 return with a Schedule C (with no carryover amounts like depreciation or inventory) was transferred into 2011 and a zero was entered for Business Income or Business Expenses.
• If the Business Income or Expenses area of the interview was visited in the 2011 interview and the only information entered for Income & Expenses was a zero.
