Junk or garbled characters when printing from PDF file

Some customers have reported garbled or "junk" characters when printing a PDF copy of their return created in Adobe Reader. Here are some workarounds:

  • Option #3: Keep the PDF-viewing window open until your return has finished printing.
    • You may not be able do anything else in TurboTax Online for several minutes while your whole return prints.

  • Option #4: While viewing your PDF, click the print button or select File > Print.
    1. When the Windows Print dialog appears, click the Advanced button.
    2. Now click the Print as image checkbox.
    3. Click OK then click OK again to print normally.
    4. Note: If you choose this option, printing may take a bit longer.
