Error 27000: "Print configuration files are missing..."

When attempting to print in TurboTax for Windows software, you receive the following message:

Print configuration files are missing. TurboTax cannot print. Please re-install TurboTax and ensure that it's updated. Error 27000

This message can occur if certain files used to set up printing are missing or incomplete.

Solution

Exit TurboTax.
Reinstall the program.
After reinstalling, open TurboTax and select Check for Updates from the Online menu to update your program.
Once you have updated TurboTax, try printing again.
