How can I pay for TurboTax Online?

We accept most major credit or debit cards with a U.S. billing address for payment: VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover Card. We are unable to accept check or cash payment.

If you don't have a credit or debit card, you can choose to pay for TurboTax by deducting the fees your federal tax refund through our Refund Processing Service. A fee of $29.99 is charged for this service.

Remember, all of our TurboTax Online products are free to start. There is no obligation. We won't ask you for payment until you're ready to e-file or print your tax return.

You can get a breakdown of your TurboTax Online fees by doing the following:

1. Sign in to TurboTax Online if you're not already signed in.
2. Click Tools near the top of your screen.
3. In the Tools Center popup, click My Fees to see the breakdown of your TurboTax fees and/or to remove add-on items.

Note: You can't remove items you've already paid for and used, for example if you prepared and filed your state return for an additional fee.
