Resolved:Military Member Getting " You Must Upgrade to TurboTax Deluxe to File Electronically"

Article ID: SLN65881

The Employee Identification Number (EIN), of the W-2 for the Military member is used to determine if the taxpayer is a member of the Military.

We have identified two issue in which the EIN were generating this error incorrectly.

There was an issue with EIN 34-1586724 not registering correctly as a Military EIN.
There was also an issue when a Military and a Non-Military W-2 are entered in the same return.

Solution:

This issue has been resolved in a TurboTax update that was released on 1/28/2013.
