What is Operation Homefront?
Operation Homefront is a charitable organization that provides emergency financial support and assistance to families of our U.S. service men and women. Operation Homefront is a national, 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Donations made to Operation Homefront are tax deductible.
Why is TurboTax partnering with Operation Homefront?
TurboTax is partnering with Operation Homefront through a campaign called Mission2Match to raise money to support our troops. TurboTax has a long history of supporting the military. We’ve provided free tax preparation to active duty military members for more than a decade and hundreds of our employees have served our country.
How does the donation match work? What is the maximum amount TurboTax will match?
TurboTax will match all donations made through the Mission2Match campaign up to $1 million dollars. This means a $5 donation becomes a $10 donation with the TurboTax match. In addition, if you share that you donated through your Twitter newsfeed directly from the campaign web site, we will match it again. So a $5 donation becomes $10 on the initial match and $15 if shared to Twitter.
