Use Form 4506-T to request a free transcript of a tax return you previously filed.

A transcript is a listing of the line numbers and information entered on the tax return, and forms filed. The IRS will not send copies of the original return or forms with the transcript request. To get Form 4506-T, visit the IRS website at http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506t.pdf or call the IRS at (800) 908-9946.
