Can I claim credit card rebates donated to charity?

You can take a deduction for charitable contributions if you choose to have the credit card company give the rebates you have earned on your purchases to charity. They would be reported in the same way as a cash donation. The rebates are not taxable income whether you keep them or donate them to charity.
