The Earned Income Credit (EIC) is a tax break for working people with low or moderate income.

Qualifying for the credit depends on a few things, most importantly whether you had income you earned from employment or self-employment.

The amount of the credit depends on your filing status, exactly how much you earned in 2012, and any qualifying children you have. Based on what you tell us, we'll figure out if you qualify.
