Miscellaneous (Misc) Income Is Doubling

Some TurboTax customers have reported that the miscellaneous income amount on their tax returns is doubling -- even if they delete and re-enter the amount.

If this happens to you, here's what to do:

1. Go to Personal Income > Less Common Income > Miscellaneous Income and click on Revisit.
2. On the Any Miscellaneous Income? screen, you've checked the boxes next to the categories that apply to you. It's possible you entered the same amount twice: once with the Wages not already reported AND the Other reportable income boxes checked.
3. Make sure BOTH boxes are checked, click Continue and delete one of the amounts.
