Ohio: RITA Form 37, page 2, Tax Rate Incorrect for Shaker Heights Municipality
If you are preparing a RITA tax return for the State of Ohio, Form 37, page 2 is providing the incorrect municipality tax rate for Shaker Heights. TurboTax is generating a tax rate of 0.01750 when it should show a rate of 0.01875 for tax year 2012.
Update: Solution and Workaround
This issue will be resolved in a product update currently scheduled for 2/23/2013. For those who used TurboTax Online to prepare your return, there is no action needed on your part since update are applied automatically.

Workaround:
In the meantime, you can use this workaround if you are using TurboTax desktop:
You can go to Forms Mode and open Form 37, page 2 and manually enter the correct tax rate in the box under line 2, Tax rate of resident municipality. Please note that by manually entering this rate, the rate will not automatically update if you change the municipality. You have to delete the tax rate you manually entered in order for TurboTax to update automatically.
