Certain customers, who had taxable distributions from 1099-R, may have filed an incorrect state tax return.
TurboTax has fixed this issue.
How to tell if you are impacted:
You may be affected if ALL of the following are true:
- You filed a 2010 Montana state return prior to March 16, 2011 AND
- You had a 1099-R with a distribution code of 3 or 4 in Box 7 AND
- Your Federal Adjusted Gross Income (Form 1040, Line 37 or Form 1040A, Line 21) was less than $32,140 ($33,960 if married filed joint)
If you are affected, you may have overpaid your state tax. You will need to amend your state tax return.
