Resolved:Michigan Incorrectly Taxes Pension of Deceased

ISSUE HAS BEEN RESOLVED

If a return is filed with a taxpayer only and the taxpayer is deceased the pension exclusion is not being calculated in Michigan.

Bring up forms mode by clicking on the forms icon at the top right of the page. Select the Pension Wks on the left side below Michigan Individual. Check the deceased box on the taxpayer line. The deduction will calculate.
