Resolved:Incorrect Health Savings Account Calculation

Updated: 1/24/2013

Article ID: SLN65510

If your Health Savings Accounts (HSA) included contributions to a HDHP, for both "Family" and "Self" during 2012.

The amount on Form 8889, Line 6 was calculating incorrectly.

This calculation error was also causing "Excess HSA Contribution" to calculate incorrectly.

Solution:

This issue has been resolved in a TurboTax update that was released on 1/24/2013.
