Manually Update TurboTax 2008 (Mac)

If you're having trouble updating your TurboTax 2008 for Mac desktop software from inside TurboTax, you can manually download and install your federal update.

Note: Manual updates are not available for TurboTax State products. Click here for instructions on updating TurboTax State.

Also – TurboTax for Mac must be installed on your computer's hard disk. Do not run the program from the CD, as this will prevent you from updating your software.

 

1. Close TurboTax and all other programs except this browser window.
2. Click here to download the update.
3. After the file finishes downloading, double-click the manual update icon to unpack and install the updates. The icon looks like this:

4. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the update.
