What is Form 1099-PATR?

Form 1099-PATR, Taxable Distributions Received From Cooperatives, is to be filed for each person to whom the cooperative has paid at least $10 in patronage dividends and other distributions or from whom you withheld any federal income tax under the backup withholding rules regardless of the amount of the payment.

How do I Enter Form 1099-PATR?

Here's how to get to the 1099-PATR screens in TurboTax Online:

  1. Select the Tools button in the upper right-hand portion of the screen. 
  2. Select Topic Search
  3. When the window opens, type 1099-patr into the box, select the 1099-PATR item, and then select Go. 
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter the information from your 1099-PATR.

Here's how to get to the 1099-PATR screens in TurboTax Desktop:

  1. Enter your cursor into the search box in the upper right-hand portion of the screen (for Mac users, click on Search Topics, located at the top center of the screen). 
  2. Type 1099-patr into the box, select the 1099-PATR item. 
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter the information from your 1099-PATR.
