Solution

This error normally occurs if the Microsoft .NET Framework did not install correctly or is damaged.

To resolve this error:

Download and run the .NET Verification Tool to determine which version of .NET is damaged.
Repair the damaged version of .NET
Install TurboTax 2010

If the repair does not resolve the issue, use the following FAQ to uninstall and reinstall .NET:
