TurboTax Freezes or Closes when Trying to Edit an Investment Sale (TurboTax Mac and iPad)

After entering an investment sale, such as the sale of a stock, TurboTax was freezing or closing completely when trying to make edits to that entry. This was only occurring on TurboTax for Mac or TurboTax for iPad products.

Solution

This issue has been resolved in an update that was released on 2/6/2013.

If you are using TurboTax on a Mac desktop and need assistance with updating, please refer to the How to Update TurboTax article.

For those using TurboTax on iPad, you will be prompted that an update is available next time you launch the app.
