Error 209 displayed when launching or running TurboTax

Some customers have reported error 209 when launching or running TurboTax.

Solution

Uninstall and then reinstall TurboTax.

If that doesn't help, delete the TYXX folder (replace XX with the 2-digit tax year) by right-clicking it and choosing Delete. The path to this folder is C:\Program Files\Common Files\Intuit\TurboTax.

Then, forcefully uninstall and reinstall TurboTax.
