Capture Installation Logs

Sometimes our engineers will ask for detailed log files so they can further investigate stubborn TurboTax installation issues. You can generate and submit installation log files by following these instructions:
- Attempt the installation again. When the Welcome to TurboTax 2010 screen appears, simultaneously press the Alt+L keys.
- Click OK to close the pop-up message Verbose logging enabled.

- Proceed through the installation until the point of failure, then exit out of the installation.
- Remove the partially installed program before proceeding to the next step.
- Now repeat Step 1, except this time press the Alt+A keys. This will open the Problem Reporter, which enables you to send us an error report.
- Select the third option Send the report and add your own feedback, enter your e-mail address, and then enter your case number (if you have one) and any other information your support representative has requested.
