The TurboTax Problem Reporter collects specific information whenever the TurboTax program runs into a problem.
You can then choose to send Intuit this information so we may analyze the data and address the cause of the issue.
How to send a problem report
When TurboTax runs into a problem a window similar to this one is displayed:
To send the problem report:
- Select Send the report and add your own feedback.
- Enter your e-mail address in the (Optional) Your email address field. This will allow us to contact you if we need more details to help us resolve the issue.
- Enter what you were doing at the time the problem occurred in the (Optional) Describe what you were doing at the time field. Try to be as exact as you can. For example, "I clicked on the File menu and selected Open Tax Return when the crash occurred." This additional information is invaluable and can help us further pinpoint why the error occurred.
If you just wish to send the report, select Send an error report (prepared automatically) and click the OK button.
