Visual C++ Runtime Error When Installing TurboTax 2011

Some customers have reported the error C++ Runtime Library Error abnormal program termination when attempting to install TurboTax.

This issue may be caused by an incompatibility with another program on your system.

Solution

To resolve this, start Windows in Selective Startup mode, and then try installing again.

Note: If you receive the error TurboTax Installer has encountered a problem and needs to close when installing in Selective Startup mode, please contact one of our support agents for further assistance.
