Microsoft Installer Error 2350 occurs when the TurboTax installation progress is approximately 15% to 19%. The complete error message reads:
ApplicationController: MSI Install Exception occurred: Microsoft Installer error: 2350 with error code: 2350 stack trace: at Intuit.Spc.Esd.Core.Specific.Installation.MsiHelper.InstallMSIPackage (Boolean Install, String msipath, String cmdLine, IntPtr owner/WindowHandle, Boolean computerRestart Required, BooleanuserCanceled)
Possible Causes
- The TurboTax CD is dirty
- The TurboTax download is corrupted
- Windows Installer is out-of-date
- Windows Installer is damaged
Solutions
Try the following, in the order listed:
- (CD versions) Check your CD and your CD drive
- (Download versions) Drag the download file to the Recycling Bin and then download and install TurboTax again
- Download Windows Installer
- (CD versions) Install TurboTax from your hard drive
