Install the TurboTax CD/Download software for Mac

Installing TurboTax software on a Mac is an easy, 2-step process:

1. (Download versions) Double-click the TurboTax download "checkmark" icon on your desktop. Find your download.
   (CD versions) Insert the TurboTax CD into your Mac's CD drive.
2. Drag the TurboTax version 2011 folder (where version is Basic, Deluxe, etc.) to the Applications folder. Unlike the Windows version, there is no separate installer program.

To open TurboTax, double-click Applications > TurboTax version 2011. When you're ready to work on your state tax return, TurboTax will walk you through the TurboTax State installation process.
