Install Microsoft Internet Explorer

TurboTax for Windows CD/Download software requires Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0 SP2 or later.

To determine your version, go to Internet Explorer's Help menu and select About Internet Explorer.

Most Windows computers already have Internet Explorer pre-installed, but if you need to install or upgrade to a higher version, here's how:

Exit TurboTax and close all other programs except your browser.
Download the Internet Explorer installer. Windows XP or Vista | Windows 7 or 8 When finished, you will probably have to restart your computer.
After restarting, open TurboTax.
