Error Code 18953690245 may appear when installing TurboTax 2012.

Note: Don't confuse this with the error 18953690245 that occurs when uninstalling TurboTax, which has a different solution.

Solution

To resolve this issue, sign in as an administrator, and then click here to run the RegPermissionFix.exe tool that we have developed to fix this issue.

Once you've done that, you should be able to install TurboTax without this error.
