The following error occurs when you open TurboTax:
TurboTax engine has encountered a problem and must close.
The error may occur if TurboTax is installed on a network drive because TurboTax is not designed to run over a network.
Solutions
If you installed TurboTax on a network drive, uninstall it, then reinstall TurboTax on the computer's hard drive (usually Drive C).
If TurboTax is already properly installed on the hard drive, you'll need to repair the .NET Framework.
Should the error persist, try reinstalling the .NET Framework.
