Error 24459: "You must have a current Quicken file before importing"

Error 24459 occurs when attempting to import from Quicken:

You must have a current Quicken file before importing

You may experience this issue if Quicken is not open during the import or because of a program conflict with the permissions feature in Windows Vista.

Solution

To resolve this issue, you can either open Quicken and leave it running while importing, or import from the .txf file.

If the error persists on Windows Vista, run Quicken as administrator. Click here for instructions. Then try importing again.
