Find the Source of a Calculated Amount (Windows)

Use forms method in TurboTax for Windows to find the source of a calculated amount.

Note: Forms method is not supported in TurboTax Online.

Follow these steps:

Note: In the Interview, select Show Tax Form (at the bottom of the screen) to display the form associated with the screen.

1. In the form, select the line you want information about (calculated information appears as blue or black text on the form).
2. Right-click the line, and then select Data Source.

If the Data Source option is unavailable, the current form is the source. Otherwise, the Data Source window displays the information used to calculate the amount.
