Unable to chat with a support representative in Google Chrome

You may experience problems when attempting to chat with one of our support representatives in Google Chrome.

Other popular browsers such as Internet Explorer and Firefox are not affected.

 

If you start a chat session and Chrome is blocking the pop-up window

  1. Click on the icon with the red x on the top right side of your url field.
  2. Then select Always allow pop-ups from turbotax.intuit.com
  3. Then click Done.

Also, you can manually allow the pop-up for the TurboTax chat window to appear in Chrome:

  1. Click the Chrome menu (a gray box with 3 horizontal bars) on the browser toolbar.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Click Show advanced settings.
  4. In the "Privacy" section, click the Content settings button.
  5. In the "Pop-ups" section, click Manage exceptions.
  6. In the Add a new hostname field, add [*.]turbotax.intuit.com (The Behavior should already be set to Allow, which is what we want!)
  7. Click OK.
  8. Close out of your Settings tab.
