TurboTax 2012 Stops Responding When Importing or Entering W-2 (Mac)

On Macbook Pro computers with the Retina display, TurboTax 2012 will stop responding ("hang") when attempting to import or manually enter a W-2 form.

This is caused by a hardware compatibility issue.

Solution

We will release a corrective update on November 21.

After you update your 2012 TurboTax for Mac software, the problem should disappear.
