Get the Latest Windows XP Service Pack

You might need to update your Windows operating system with a Service Pack in order to install TurboTax software. Click the link for your Windows system, and then follow the on-screen steps:

Windows XP Service Pack 2 (required to install TurboTax 2008 through 2010 on Windows XP)
Windows XP Service Pack 3 (required to install TurboTax 2011 and later on Windows XP)

Note: Installing TurboTax on Windows 7 or Vista does not require additional Service Packs, but in rare situations the progam can incorrectly indicate that Service Pack 3 is required. In that case, see this article for solutions.
