Business E-file Rejection Codes R0000-922, F1120-307, and F1120S-239

If the name you entered in TurboTax Business for your corporation, S corporation, or partnership doesn't exactly match the one on file with the IRS, the IRS will reject your e-filed return with one of the following errors:

  • R0000-922: Filer's EIN and Name Control in the Return Header must match data in the e-File database, unless "Name Change" or "Name or Address Change" checkbox is checked, if applicable.
  • F1120-307: Filer's TIN and Name Control in the Return Header must match data in the e-File database unless Form 1120, Item E(3), checkbox "Name Change" is checked.
  • F1120S-239: Filer's TIN and Name Control in the Return Header must match data in the e-File database unless Form 1120S, Item H(2), checkbox "Name Change" is checked.

Solution

To resolve the rejection, correct your business name in TurboTax to exactly match the business name on the EIN or TIN confirmation letter you received from the IRS when you first applied for your Employer or Taxpayer Identification Number.

If you lost this letter, call the IRS Business Line at 1-800-829-4933 for a replacement.

Once you have corrected the name, you will be able to e-file.
