You receive the message Your Transmission Didn't Go Through Due to Duplicate Social Security Number when attempting to e-file your return.
Solution
Please double check all Social Security numbers in your return against everybody's Social Security card. You can do this by clicking the Personal Info tab and going through these screens again.
- If you come across any mistyped entries, correct them and then try e-filing again.
- Otherwise, if you verified that all Social Security numbers are correct, contact us and one of our representatives will assist you.
