Resolved: Sales Tax Deduction: Hawaii Residents Unable to Change Tax Rate from 4.0% to 4.5%

When reporting information for the sales tax deduction and you live in Hawaii, the sales tax rate was defaulting to 4.0% when some Hawaii residents have an additional .5% surcharge to report.

Solution

This issue has been resolved in a recent TurboTax update.

You will now be able to manually enter your sales tax rate instead of it being populated automatically.
