Error or Timeout When Importing or Creating Financial Transactions
When attempting to import or create a large number of financial transactions, such as stock sales, TurboTax stops responding and/or returns an error message.
Possible Cause and Solution
TurboTax has limits to the number of financial transactions that you can import or create. Select the section below that applies to your situation for suggestions on how to work around this limitation.
Note: TurboTax also has a limit of 9 digits in data entry fields, which can also cause this problem if one or more financial transactions, or their total, equals $10,000,000.00 (ten million dollars) or more.
If this situation applies to you, you won't be able to use TurboTax because it's not intended to handle these kinds of numbers. You may want to investigate ProSeries software, which accepts greater values than TurboTax.
