Resolved:Unable To Enter Mortgage Points Not Reported on 1098

There was an issue where after entering mortgage points that were not reported on a 1098, the following error would display in error check.

Who Is Affected?

If you met all of the following you may have been affected by this issue:

Paid points (Origination fees) in 2012
Used this loan to buy or improve your main home
Did not receive a 1098

Workaround:

Desktop Only:

Go to "Forms" mode
Select "Home Int Wkst"
Enter the amount paid for mortgage points on Line 7 of the worksheet
Reduce the amount entered on Line 4 of the worksheet by the amount entered on Line 7
Return to "Step by Step"
The error will now be cleared

Solution:
