Resolved:Carryover Worksheet: Total W/H Pmts-1 must be entered Error
This error was generating when the following types of payments are made through the "Other Common Income", "State and Local Tax Refunds" area of the interview.
If the following payments were made on the "Enter Tax Payments" screen, and the Total of these payments was not entered in the "Total Tax Payments and Withholding for 2011" box (The top entry box)
Then this error was generating in error check looking for the total of these entries.
- 2011 Estimated Tax Payments made in 2012 for State Return
- Amount Paid with Extension of Time to File 2011 State Return
Workaround:
To resolve this error through Error Check:
Add the amounts displayed in Column B and Column C of the "Federal Carryover Worksheet "together, then enter the Total in the "Total W/H Payments" box in Error Check
Solution:
This issue has been resolved in a TurboTax update that was released on 2/21/2013. The update will prevent the interview from being completed with the missing information .
