Some TurboTax users are experiencing an issue when selecting "Continue" on the 'Consent to e-file your Massachusetts return' section. A box appears over the middle initial of a spouse name, stating, "Field must be same as your spouse's middle initial", and won't let the user continue.

Workaround:

When middle initial is removed from the federal portion, and the user returns to the consent page, the error is no longer there.

Solution

We are aware of this experience and are looking at ways to improve this area in future editions of TurboTax
