WI Non-resident Return Asking for School Code

When filing a WI non-resident return, TurboTax will not e-file, because a "school code" has not been entered.

Solution:

This issue has been resolved in a TurboTax update that was released on 2/23/2013.

For assistance with updating TurboTax please refer to the How to Update TurboTax support article.

Workaround

The following steps may taken to clear the error for efiling purposes.

Enter 0007 in the school district number field while you are in the review section of the program. This will clear the error message. As a nonresident of WI, the calculations will ignore the school code entry and you will be able to proceed with e-filing.
