If you paid college fees or expenses in 2012, just let us know when we ask about them. We'll then figure out if you qualify for any education-related tax breaks.

You may be able to deduct things like tuition, books, and education-related supplies and equipment. You usually can't deduct room and board, transportation, and meals.
