Unable to Access State Return, State Looping
When installing state products the program seems to "loop" and not allow customers to access the state that was downloaded.
Solution
We have released a fix on March 14, 2013 which resolves the state download experience looping issue. Please ensure your product is up to date. We also suggest if you are running Windows Vista or later that you try the following:
Right-click on the TurboTax 2012 icon and select Properties. Then click the Compatibility tab, and select the "Run as Administrator" checkbox. You can then click OK. (Note: If the Compatibility tab does not appear, try going into the C:/Program Files/TurboTax/(Your version) 2012/32bit directory and right-clicking the TurboTax.exe file.)
