Because they are so big, product downloads can be difficult to download using a dial-up connection.

If you have access to another computer with a high-speed Internet connection, download TurboTax to a CD or flash drive from that computer so you can install it on your dial-up computer. Here's how:

1. Insert a CD or attach a flash drive to a computer with a high-speed connection.
2. Download TurboTax and save it to the desktop.
3. Burn the download to the CD (or copy it to your flash drive).
4. Delete the file on the desktop and remove the CD or flash drive.

To install TurboTax on your dial-up computer:

1. Insert the CD or attach the flash drive to your computer.
2. Look for the TurboTax icon on the CD or flash drive, and then copy it to your computer's desktop.
3. On your desktop, double-click the TurboTax icon to begin the installation process.
   
   Mac users: When the CD or flash drive mounts on your desktop, double-click its icon to view the contents. Then drag the TurboTax 200X folder (replace X with the appropriate tax year) to the Applications folder on your hard drive to install.

• If your download is not listed, you might have purchased it using a different user ID. Retrieve your user ID.
• If you get Unknown file type when attempting to install your download, right-click the downloaded file and choose Rename. Add .exe to the end of the file name and press Enter. This will enable the file to install.
