If your filing status is...

You get:

Plus these additional amounts if you (or your spouse, if filing jointly):

were born before January 2, 1948 are blind
Single $5,950 $1,450 $1,450
Married Filing Jointly $11,900 $1,150 per spouse $1,150 per spouse
Married Filing Separately $5,950 $1,150 $1,150
Head of Household $8,700 $1,450 $1,450
Qualified Widow(er) with Dependent Child $11,900 $1,150 $1,150

Note: If somebody else can claim you (or your spouse, if filing jointly) as a dependent, your standard deduction amount might be reduced. If you're in this situation you might want to read IRS Publication 501, which covers this topic in detail
