IRS Tax Return Transcripts
You may need to provide a copy of your most recent tax return, for example when applying for a loan or visa. If you don't have a copy of your return, you can get a free tax return transcript from the IRS.
A tax return transcript shows most line items from your Form 1040, 1040A, or 1040-EZ tax return as it was originally filed, including related forms and schedules. Although a transcript usually includes all the information needed by the lender or government agency, we recommend that you ask your financial institution if a transcript will meet their requirements.
Transcripts are available for the current and past three tax years.
