Error 42014: No response was received during the time-out period for a request occurs when attempting to download an update.
Possible Causes
- Your computer's Internet connection or router may be configured incorrectly.
- Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) may be experiencing a technical problem.
- The Intuit Update Server may be experiencing a technical problem.
Workaround
To temporarily work around this issue, you can download a manual update instead.
If the problem reappears or if a manual update does not solve it, follow these steps:
- Be sure your Internet connection is working properly.
- Retry updating by using Check for Updates in the Online menu in TurboTax.
- If updating fails, wait and try again later or download a manual update.
