Error 1704: Installation suspended

Error 1704 occurs when updating TurboTax:

Install for program is currently suspended. You must undo the changes made by that install to continue.

Possible Causes

A previous installation or update cannot be completed until the computer is restarted.

Solution

Follow these steps:

Exit open windows and programs.
Restart your computer.
Update TurboTax.

If that doesn't fix the problem, try uninstalling and then reinstalling TurboTax.
